Lead Carpenter

Are you a Lead Carpenter ready to make a change?

Do you want to work at a company that is small enough to value your individual contribution yet large enough to be organized and have year round work?

Thayer Design Build is hiring a Lead Carpenter to join our growing team!

Who is Thayer Design Build?

Since starting 8 years ago in a garage, Thayer Design Build has become a well-established remodeling company.

We perform high-end home design and remodeling in the Corvallis Oregon area. Our work consists of whole home remodels, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and additions.

We’re driven by a desire to do great work and create happiness for our team, clients, and community.

Having developed proven systems, the work runs smoothly, which leads to great pay, a manageable workload, and an enjoyable work environment.

Brief Job Description

As a Lead Carpenter, you’d be responsible for all carpentry work on your assigned projects.

This includes a moderate amount of framing such as modifying headers, framing interior walls, blocking, etc. We do not frame major additions or whole homes.

We sub out the specialty trades such as drywall, paint, tile, etc though any experience in these realms would be appreciated.

This position requires someone who has a lot of experience on the tail end of a project. Tasks like installing finish grade millwork, pocket doors, grab bars, appliances, etc.

This position would be training to eventually elevate into a Project Manager.
