We are looking for a Office Administrator to join our growing team at Thayer Design Build. Who Are We?

Thayer Design Build is a residential remodeler based in Corvallis, Oregon. We are growing and need an administrative person to help keep our operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do:

Your role is critical to supporting our team. This role will provide valuable experience, allowing you to grow in responsibility and master the ins and outs of small business administration. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily office operations—organizing schedules, handling paperwork, and improving systems.
  • Answering phones, opening mail, and receiving packages.
  • Supporting sales, marketing, design, production, and office manager.
  • Handling vendor and client communications with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Taking ownership of administrative tasks and executing them with precision.
  • Prioritizing effectively and adapting to shifting needs.
  • Keeping everything organized and operating smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration, operations, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a focus on efficiency.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and project management tools.
  • The ability to handle both routine and complex tasks with the same level of commitment and quality.
  • Bonus: A degree in design with a desire to transition into a design role over time.
